MBNet is a user-friendly and effective system that allows safe payments using a debit card or credit card (VISA/MASTERCARD).

How to Enroll

MBNet requires previous enrollment, assigning you a means of Identification and a secret password. Enrollment can be done in one of the following ways:
1 – At the Financial Institution that issued your card - Portugal.
2 – Using an ATM. Select 'Serviço MBnet' (MBnet Service) - Portugal.

To further facilitate the use of the service, you should install the MBnet icon for your browser or toolbar on the site www.mbnet.pt. It is quick and easy to use and every time you wish to pay for your purchase you just have to click on the icon without having to exit the website.

Purchase Payments

1 – After choosing the product(s) you wish to purchase, select Finish shop on your Shopping Cart, (you should have successfully logged in to the website) check the displayed data and select the “Mbnet” payment option.
A pop-up window will display the online payment system information where you can check the amount due and the reference code.


Afterwards, click on the previously installed MBNet icon on your browser or toolbar; (you can also access the MBNet website by writing the address www.mbnet.pt and then clicking the button "Serviço MBNet PARA PAGAR Clique Aqui" (MBnet service FOR PAYMENT Click Here), on the right upper corner);


2 – Then, a small pop-up window will be displayed, in which you should insert your Identification and Secret Code. Confirm using the "OK" button;


3 – After having been recognized by the system, confirm the data related to your purchase, i.e., the virtual store name, the purchase reference and the amount, by pressing the "OK" button again;


4 – By doing this you will receive a confirmation of the payment. In case any irregularity occurs an error message will be displayed, which will help you understand the cause of the problem. If this happens you should immediately contact the MBnet technical services to solve the problem;

MBNet Operations at an ATM

The ATM network allows not only to enroll in MBNet, but also provides you with further functionalities related to this service use:

Obtaining a Duplicate Document for the MBNet Service:
• Please insert your card and your personal secret code.
• Select the "Serviço MBnet" (Mbnet Service) option.
• Select the "2ª Via de Talão MBNET" (Duplicate Document MBNET) option.
• Duplicate Enrollment Document will allow you to consult again the Identification data as well as the maximum purchase amount per day, in case you have previously indicated.

Change of the Secret Code:
• Please insert your card and your personal secret code.
• Select the "Serviço MBNET" (MBnet service) option.
• Select the " Alterar Código Secreto" (Change of the Secret Code) option.
• By selecting this option a window will be displayed asking for the current and the new MBNet Secret Codes. You should then confirm by pressing the green key.
• Finally, a new window will be displayed where you shall confirm the operation.
